Bar Hill

Bar Hill is a purpose-built village with a population of 4000 about 7 km northwest of Cambridge on the A14 road. Planning began in the late 1950s to alleviate the housing shortage in South Cambridgeshire, and the first residents moved in 1967.
The village has a shopping mall (with a large Tesco supermarket as anchor store), a library, primary school, multi-denominational church and a pub.
