Barabazar

Barabazar is a census town in Puruliya district in the state of West Bengal, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census^{[Geographic references#IndiaGRIndia]}, Barabazar had a population of 7572. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Barabazar has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 59% of the males and 41% of females literate. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
