Baraolt

Baraolt (Hungarian: BarĂ³t) is a town in Covasna County, eastern Transylvania, Romania. According to the 1992 census, the population of Baraolt is 6,483 (6,131 Hungarian, 298 Romanian). The town was mentioned for the first time as a settlement in 1224.
In Baraolt, the Hungarian language has co-official status alongside Romanian.
