Barbarika
Encyclopedia : B : BA : BAR : Barbarika
In the Mahabharata, Barbarika (IAST Barbarīka) was the son of Ghatotkacha and Maurvi, daughter of Muru, a Yadava king.
Barbarika was originally a yaksha, and was reborn as a man.
He fought in the great battle on the Pandava side, together with his father. He became uncontrolled in the battle, and attacked others, including those on his own side. Eventually he was killed by Krishna, who used his chakra weapon.
For another version of his story and his life, see Khatushyamji.
