Bard Women's Rugby is the women's rugby team at Bard College, founded in the spring of 2005. During the 2005-2006 school year, the team functioned as a club, receiving money from the student convocation fund and coaching from the men's team. In April of 2006, the Bard Women's Rugby Football Club became an official part of the Atheltics department. They played their first game on a joint team with Hofstra against Drew Unversity in New Jersey on April 8, 2006.
