Bargain Hunter
Encyclopedia : B : BA : BAR : Bargain Hunter
A bargain hunter website allows users to publish lower than average prices, as well as rebate offers on a comprehensive range of products and services, though computer related products dominate the listings. Often times, a deal is posted on internet forums.
Such deal sites often make money by using referral links. When a link is posted, the website directs its users over to the retailers' sites adding special codes at the end, which designate the originating site. Although each click accumulates a relatively small amount, hundreds or thousands of clicks are normal for popular deals.
Sometimes these sites also contain internet forums not related to deals or finding bargains, creating a community amongst its users.
