Barrios of Buenos Aires

The city of Buenos Aires is divided in 48 barrios (neighbourhoods). The Barrios have become part of other administrative structures, called "comunas" wich are "units of decentralizated political and administrative gesture governed by specially elected residents" [link] The Barrios, listed alphabeticaly, are these:

Comunas division
Comunas are political divisions of the city that gather barrios into under community centres for administrative purposes. Some Barrios are big enough to be a Comuna they alone, but most Comunas are composed by more than one Barrio. They have each a number, and here are they listed in the numerical order:

- La Boca, Barracas, Parque Patricios y Nueva Pompeya.

- Flores y Parque Chacabuco.
- Villa Soldati, Villa Lugano y Villa Riachuelo.
- Parque Avellaneda, Mataderos y Liniers.
- Villa Luro, Vélez Sarsfield, Floresta, Montecastro, Villareal y Versalles.
- Villa Devoto, Villa del Parque, Villa Santa Rita y Villa General Mitre.
- Villa Pueyrredón, Villa Urquiza, Coghlan y Saavedra.
- Nuñez, Belgrano y Colegiales.
- Palermo.
- Villa Ortúzar, Chacarita, Villa Crespo, Paternal y Agronomía
