Bashar is a fictional military rank in the Dune science fiction series of novels. In the novels, Bashar is a rank slightly senior to Colonel, and is often called Colonel Bashar.

There is a variation on this rank, Supreme Bashar, which appears to be roughly analogous to a Field Marshal, as it is generally held by a military's most senior commander.
