The Battle of Chawinda was the largest tank battle since World War II, fought as part of the Sialkot Campaign in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. The battle saw huge casualties on both sides, though Pakistan managed to stave off the Indian thrust.

The tank battles fought in the area between Charwa and Chawinda from 8th to 21 September 1965 were among the biggest battles of the 1965 War.
