The Battle of Hatcher's Run (February 5,1865) was an unexpected attack on a Confederate supply line, by the Union General Ulysses S. Grant and George Meade, on the way to Petersburg, VA. This was a three day affair fighting against heavy confederate fire from William "rooney" Lee's troops.
