Italic textThe Battle of Lumphanan, was a battle in March 1057 between Malcolm Canmore and King Macbeth of Scotland. Macbeth was killed. Italic textApparently this happened near the famous peel ring of Lumphanan. This is where Mcbeths head was cut off, and the stone on which this happened is still visible today, next to the old railway line.
