Batu Ferringhi

Encyclopedia : B : BA : BAT : Batu Ferringhi

Batu Ferringhi is a strip of beaches on the northern coast of Penang, Malaysia. Along this famous beach area, you will find numerous large hotels, restaurants, transport rental services, and souvenir stores.

Batu Ferringhi was also hit by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Fortunately, no lives were lost due to warnings given by lifeguards on duty before the tsunami arrived. This was unlike other parts of the island where lives were lost to the tsunami.
