Beachmont is a relatively insular neighborhood within Revere, Massachusetts. It is a diverse neighborhood, with charming turn-of-the-century homes, overlooking the Atlantic ocean. East Boston and Winthrop border Beachmont on the South.
Attractions
Donnelly Square has several convenience and package stores, various local fast food restaurants, an Italian bakery, a Spanish foods store and a Hilal market. A small YMCA dedicated to Guy Meli provides after school programs and is occasionally a venue for local rock shows. Along The Atlantic, Rocky Beach and Short Beach attract residents looking to escape the summer heat. The Belle Isle Marsh Reservation is adjacent to The Beachmont School and runs to Short Beach. Guided walks show off the local wildlife of Boston's last remaining salt marsh. The Beachmont Yacht Club docks boats on the marsh's main creek. Across the MBTA's Blue Line, Suffolk Downs straddles East Boston and Beachmont.Transit
Beachmont has convenient access to just about all major modes of transportation. Most homes are within walking distance of the MBTA’s Blue line (12 minute access to downtown Boston). Logan is a 10 minute car or subway ride away. Routes 1 and 1A are both within a 5 minute drive. The beach is right around the corner.Beachmont Station on the MBTA Blue Line connects Beachmont to Boston on the inbound track and Revere Beach on the outbound track. The T also runs the 119 bus through the neighborhood and the other parts of Revere.
