Bellevue School District No. 405 is a public school district in King County, Washington, USA and serves the communties of Bellevue, Clyde Hill, Medina, Hunts Point, Yarrow Point, Beaux Arts Village, and portions of Renton, Newcastle, Issaquah, Kirkland and Redmond.

As of October 10, 2005, the district has an enrollment of 16,088 students.

All four of the public high schools (Bellevue High, Interlake, Newport and Sammamish), as well as the 6-12 International School are ranked in the top 1% of the Nation's schools as ranked by Newsweek by dividing the # of AP tests taken by the number of seniors. Bellevue School District is regionally and national renowned for its excellent academics and AP test taking.

Demographics

Bellevue is often considered by others in the region to be affluent and White, however the Bellevue School District is one of the most diverse school districts on the East Side. As of October 2005, there were 16088 students enrolled in the district. 3% are African American, 25% are Asian, 9% are Hispanic, 8% are Multiracial, <1% are Native American and 55% are White. 27% of students speak a first language other than English, there are over 66 languages spoken in the district. 9% of students are ESL (English as a Second Language) learners. 19% of the district's students have free or reduced lunch.
