Prior to the early 1990s, the station was known simply as Bescot. However, it was renamed in order to serve Bescot Stadium, the newly-built stadium for Walsall Football Club.
Services
Bescot Stadium station is on the Walsall Line between Birmingham New Street and Walsall. The typical Monday-Saturday daytime service sees two trains per hour in each direction, while evenings and Sundays see one train per hour. Certain early morning and most evening services continue beyond Walsall via the Chase Line to Hednesford or Rugeley Town.External links
