beunited.org is the standards organisation for open-source BeOS compatible operating systems. The implementation which has been chosen as a reference platform is Haiku.

They also provide hosting, CVS, and other facilities to opensource BeOS applications, and have adopted a number of abandoned applications such as ArtPaint and Pe.

They also liaise with commercial software and hardware vendors, in particular those who have or have had BeOS powered products. In addition, they are the official porters for Sun Java and OpenOffice.org for BeOS.
