Birds Edge is a small village 14km (9 m) south east of Huddersfield on the A629 road to Sheffield.

It is situated between the villages of Shepley, Upper Cumberworth and High Flatts.

Unfortunately it no longer has a pub or any shops, but it does retain Birds Edge First School.
