Blue cheese dressing
Encyclopedia : B : BL : BLU : Blue cheese dressing
Blue Cheese Dressing is a popular salad dressing in the United States. It is usually made from mayonnaise, blue cheese, milk, vinegar, sugar, onion powder, dry mustard, and garlic powder. Most major salad dressing producers and restaurants produce a variant of blue cheese dressing. While its popularity on salads has waned since the explosion of the popularity of similar ranch dressing, it remains a popular dipping sauce for buffalo wings.
The Big 4
Prior to the popularity of ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing was often one of four dressings offered in smaller restaurants, the others being Thousand Island, French, and Italian.
