Blue county
Encyclopedia : B : BL : BLU : Blue county
A blue county is a county whose residents predominantly vote for the Democratic Party in local, state, United States House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and U.S. Presidential elections. This term may also be used to describe the political representation of a county by county commissioners, state representatives, and state senators.
Traditionally, the practice of designating a county as "red" or "blue" is based on the winner-take-all system.
