Located west of Sawtell in NE NSW, Boambee is/was more of a local sector of the district, without a central business district as such and consisted of roadside petrol stations on the intersection of the Pacific Highway and Sawtell rd in the early 70's it was notable for the Hamilton Jet [link] factory that is now Smith's Eng, the Lindsey Bros transport company and Banana plantations in the foot hills of the native forest. -- 02:46, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
