Bob“s is a Brazilian fast food chain. The restaurant was founded in 1951 by American tennis player Robert Falkenburg, known by his friends as Bob. Robert was champion in Wimbledon in 1948, and introduced the fast food concept to Brazil.
The company called Falkenburg Sorvetes used only to sell vanilla ice cream.
The first store Bob's, opened in 1952, was located in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. This store started to sell hotdogs, hamburgers, milkshakes and sundaes.
In 1972, Robert Falkenburg sold the restaurant.
In 1984, the restaurant started to work as a franchise system.
It is spread across 24 states in Brazil and it is in Portugal. A remarkable product is its milk-shake with Ovomaltine.
