Robert "Bob" Daisley (born February 13, 1950) is from Australia. He is a legendary bass guitar playing musician who has performed in genres from Rock and Roll to the Blues. He revolutionised bass playing, incorporating a six-string bass guitar and using the "sweep picking" technique to play three octave arpeggios in lightning-fast succession.
Daisley was bassist and lyricist for Ozzy Osbourne and his most successful solo releases of the 1980's. After a lawsuit brought by Daisley for unpaid royalties, his bass tracks were removed from later remasters of Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman albums in 2002. The tracks were re-recorded by Rob Trujillo of Suicidal Tendencies and Metallica fame.
Bob Daisley has also played for the bands Gary Moore, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Mungo Jerry, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Uriah Heep.
In 2003, he fulfilled a project of his in creating a band to remake some classic hard rock albums. Together with Jimmy Barnes, Don Airey, Steve Morse and Lee Kerslake he formed the band Living Loud.
In September 2005, the British press reported a story that he is playing bass in a new band called Bitter Pill with David Lee Roth, Tommy Lee, and Vinnie Vincent.
