Robert Kuehl Goen (born December 1, 1954) is an American game show emcee and a popular television personality, best known as the reporter, substitute anchor, and finally co-anchor of the long-running newsmagazine program, Entertainment Tonight between 1993 and 2004.

Goen was born and raised in Long Beach, California and upon graduation from San Diego State University in 1976 with a degree in telecommunications and film, one year later in 1977, he used his college radio experience to land a part-time job at KFOX radio in his native Long Beach, which led to his first full-time job as a disc jockey/producer for KPRO in Riverside, where he was promoted to work as a director. In 1981, he came to television, becoming a sports anchor at KESQ-TV, the ABC affiliate in Palm Springs.

Around that time, he also served as ESPN's desert-area correspondent. After almost 4 years in that role, he came to Hollywood, where he hosted several short-lived game shows such as Perfect Match and Home Shopping Game both for syndication. In 1988, he hosted the 13-week series Blackout on CBS, and in 1989, he took over as the host of the daytime network version of the immensely-popular game show, Wheel of Fortune - again for CBS, and later, on NBC, before the daytime show ended for good in 1991. Goen received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Game Show Host for Wheel. In 1992, he came back to host a prime-time summer show for CBS, The Hollywood Game.

Between 1993 and 1996, he served as host of the worldwide telecasts of Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants, all for CBS.

On April 11, 1993, he was hired to work on Entertainment Tonight as a substitute anchor and a reporter. Three years later, after his hiring, his predecessor John Tesh had left the show on May 30, 1996, to pursue his music career, and at that time, Goen was promoted to anchor alongside Mary Hart.

In 1999, he made guest appearances on 2 separate movies on the set of ET. On September 11, 2001, amongst fellow reporters, he also covered the attacks on the World Trade Center. A couple of years later, he interviewed Suzanne Somers about the death of beloved actor John Ritter.

In August 2004, after 11 years of serving as anchor on the set, he left to not only spend more time with his new marriage, but he also wanted to pursue other projects. Mark Steines succeeded Goen as anchor.

Goen was married to Sabrina in 1988, and had a son in 1994. The couple divorced in 1997. In late 2003, he was engaged to television personality, Marianne Curan; they married in 2004.

In his spare time, Goen does annual charity work for his golfing tournament, “The Bob Goen Lexus Invitational”, which benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
