Bonaly

Encyclopedia : B : BO : BON : Bonaly

Bonaly is a "leafy suburb" of Edinburgh, Scotland, in the south of the city. Most of the housing here was built in the 1980s and 1990s. There is also a so-called "Roman Bath", but this stone-built pond is not believed to be genuinely Roman; it is instead likely to date from the 1920s.

The area is mainly residential. It is bounded on the west by Colinton and the east by Oxgangs. It is very near the Edinburgh city bypass, and the view to the south is dominated by the Pentland Hills.
