Born Into the '90s

Encyclopedia : B : BO : BOR : Born Into the '90s

Born Into the '90s was the debut album for R&B singer R. Kelly and his then-group, Public Announcement. Released in 1992, the album became a hit based on the success of singles like "Honey Love" and "Slow Dance" eventually going platinum. After its success, Kelly left the band and began a successful solo career but many critics deemed the album Kelly's solo debut considering how little his bandmates had a spotlight on them.
