Brett Mason

Dr Brett John Mason (born 5 March 1962), Australian politician, has been a Liberal member of the Australian Senate since July 1999, representing the state of Queensland.
Mason was born in Canberra, and was educated at the Australian National University, Canberra, where he graduated in arts and law, at Cambridge University, where he gained a masters degree, and at Griffith University, Brisbane, where he gained a PhD in criminology. He was a barrister and a Lecturer in Criminology at the Queensland University of Technology before entering politics.
