Brian Fox

Brian Fox is a free software programmer.
Fox was the original author, in 1987, of the GNU Bourne Again Shell (Bash), an open-source Unix command line interface distributed by the Free Software Foundation. The current developer and maintainer is Chet Ramey of Case Western Reserve University.
Fox is also the author of:
- The GNU components makeinfo, info, finger, and readline
- The BuddyCast peer-to-peer streaming media protocol (with Mel Beckman and Denison Bollay)
