Controversy
Recently, the Brightwood Golf and Country Club voted to move the golf course to Anderson Lake in Burnside in a land swap. This would have meant the the land it currently occupies would be developed. Opposition from residents persaded the city council to turn down the proposal that would have destroyed the largest green space in northern Dartmouth.
