Bristol Scout

Based on a Frank Barnwell pre-WW1 racing plane, the Bristol Scout was one of the first fighter aircraft to be produced in quantity for the Royal Flying Corps. Originally, a Lewis gun was mounted on the side of the aircraft. Later versions featured a machine gun synchronized to fire through the propeller arc.
