BritishJET is a British-registered low-cost airline based in Malta. It operates scheduled services from Malta International Airport (MLA) exclusively to the United Kingdom. BritishJET is a trading name of Malta Bargains Ltd.
History
The airline was established on 29 September 2004 when Malta Bargains Ltd (previously Malta Sun Holidays), a travel agent specialising in Maltese holidays for British tourists, was licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to operate its own flights to Malta. Services started with a flight between London Gatwick and Malta on 1 May 2005, and then to other UK airports.Destinations
