British Columbia University Act

The British Columbia University Act was enacted by the British Columbia Legislative Assembly to establish degree granting universities in British Columbia. The first University Act was passed in 1890; however, the university established under this statute did not succeed. A new Act was passed in 1908 (in conjunction with the University Endowment Act of 1907). Under this new statute, the University of British Columbia was established.
