XXX Corps cross the road bridge at Nijmegen during Market Garden.
The British XXX Corps was an armoured corps in the British Army during World War II. It played a major role in the Western Desert Campaign and many operations in Northwest Europe, including Operation Market Garden, during which it was commanded by Lieutenant General Brian Horrocks, who had replaced Gerard Bucknall in August 1944.
Ardennes
During the Battle of the Bulge, units of XXX Corps moved to secure the bridges over the Meuse. On 27 December the Corps pushed the 2nd Panzer Division out of Celles. On December 31 they captured Rochefort at the western end of the salient.See also
