Buells Corners, Pennsylvania

Encyclopedia : B : BU : BUE : Buells Corners, Pennsylvania

Buells Corners, Pennsylvania is a small village in north-western Pennsylvania in Crawford Countyยท located at the intersection of Pennsylvania state highway 89 and Buells Corners Road. At the intersection is Buell's Corner's Store. This old fashioned store/gas station is a local landmark and is said by locals to be "the hub of the world" or "Joe's Walmart". The latter is a reference to store owner and operator Joe Cicatella. If there is anything a customer needs that is not in the store, Joe will usually order it or at least know someone else that can get it. In one stop a customer can buy gas, a rifle, boots, nuts and bolts, a couple pounds of sliced ham, get an ice cream cone then sit down at the counter with the locals for a cup of coffee and your favorite lunch.
