Bulow Plantation Ruins State Historic Site is a Florida State Park located three miles west of Flagler Beach, Florida on CR 2001, south of SR 100, and contains the ruins of an ante-bellum plantation. The original plantation was begun in 1821 for the purpose of growing indigo, cotton, rice, and sugar cane.
Activities include hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, canoeing and kayaking, and picnicking. Among the wildlife of the park are Bald Eagles, Swallow-tailed Kites, and Florida manatees. Amenities include a 6.8 mile hiking trail, a boat ramp, and a screened picnic pavilion. Bulow Creek is recognized as a State Canoe Trail. A scenic walking trail leads visitors to the sugar mill ruins, which are listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. The park is open from 8:00 am till sundown year round.
