Burma Campaign UK

The Burma Campaign UK is an organization dedicated to the promotion of human rights and democracy in Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). Among their goals are the fall of the military dictatorship government and the permanent release of political prisoner Aung San Suu Kyi. In addition to petitioning European governments to place sanctions on Myanmar, they also actively campaign against companies that trade or deal directly with the Burmese government. The current director of the Burma Campaign UK is Yvette Mahon.
The \"Dirty List\"
Every year The Burma Campaign releases a "Dirty List" of companies are most involved in financially supporting the Burmese military government through economic partnership. The Campaign is also known to publicly expose and condemn companies that are partnered or affiliated with companies on the "Dirty List". On October 5, 2004, they slammed popular charity Comic Relief for their partnership with DHL. Notable members are:- Austrian Airlines

The \"Clean List\"
If a company on the "Dirty List" ends their involvement with the Burmese Government, they are moved to the "Clean List". The Clean List is also for companies who have official policies not to trade with Burma until the political climate is improved. Notable members are:- adidas-Salomon
