Burnbank

Burnbank is a district of Hamilton, near to Scotland's largest city Glasgow, in South Lanarkshire, Scotland that links Hamilton to Blantyre. In the past mining and carpet making were industries in the area. Burnbank was the birthplace of Jock Stein, footballer and manager of Dunfermline, Hibernian F.C., Celtic F.C., Leeds United and the Scotland national football team. It was also the birthplace of Jim Bett, who played for Rangers, Aberdeen and the Scotland national team.
Udston or the "jungle" as it is so commonly known, is the largest area of Burnbank consisting of a large number of streets, roads & crescents. It is said that Udston inherited this name, the "jungle" because anyone who entered this part of Burnbank looking for a certain street or road would end up lost due to the large amount of streets & roads within the area.
