Busman's holiday

Busman's holiday is an informal term for a vacation during which one engages in an activity that is similar to one's usual work, e.g.:-

• Staying in university accommodation during a conference, if you are an academic.
• A group of bus drivers goes on holiday by coach.
• A bus driver, on vacation, is still driving people around town.
• A man who scuba dives for a living, finds that someone arranged a scuba diving holiday for him.
• A man in the army comes home on leave from 3 months' continuous camping and marching, and finds that someone arranged a camping holiday for him.
