C.E. Dorsett (November 11, 1976- present) was born Charles Eric Dorsett in Poplar Bluff, MO. His family moved frequently when he was younger. He spent most of his formative years in Frederick, MD. Two of his high school teachers introduced him to mythology from around the world, in particular the works of Joseph Campbell.
Work
An artist, a writer, and a dabbler in electronic music, he is constantly exploring new ways to tell stories. His love of Science Fiction / Fantasy / Horror and all things gothic have been his guide.One night, in a small apartment in Oakland, CA, he awoke from a dream with the idea for the novel, Liquid Sky, a Space Opera barrowing many qualities from Anime, Wuxia (Chinese Martial Arts Fantasy), and dark fantasy, ISBN 0-595-36916-2 (Paperback), ISBN 0-595-81328-3 (E-book). Liquid Sky is a novel about a young man who shortly after his eighteenth birthday uncovers a plot to kill his adopted father. In response, he delves into the galactic underworld of mysteries and magic in a desperate attempt to save him.
