CBS Eblana

CBS Eblana was a secondary and primary school located in Dun Laoghaire (Dunleary) Ireland in Eblana Avenue from 1857 until 1992. It closed to due lack of pupils most likely caused by a population shift to the outlying area of Monsktown, Loughlinstown, Shankill, etc.

During its time it had many colourful pupils and even more colourful teachers passing through its doors. Who can remember any of the staff of the 70s and 80s including Frank "Spoof" Hayes, Benny "duck" Roe, Br. E. "The Boss" McEvoy, M. "flossy" Flaherty, E. "caveman" Russell, P. "paudge" Kelly, Mr. "buzby" Ryan, to name but a few!
