CBXT is the television call sign for the CBC's television station in Edmonton, Alberta.
The station first went on-air on October 1, 1961 as Edmonton's second television station; the previous CBC affiliate, CFRN, switched to the newly-established CTV on the same day.
In the early 1980s, CBXT was known on-air as "xtv", in lowercase.
When CKRD-TV (Red Deer) disaffiliated from the CBC Television Network in 2005 (switching to CH, with new calls CHCA), CBXT was given control of the translator in Coronation, Alberta (CKRD-1) on channel 10. CBXT moved it to channel 13, broadcasting the full CBXT-TV/CBC schedule to Red Deer and Central Alberta.
