The CCGS Sir Wilfrid Laurier is a light icebreaker and Major Navaids Tender of the Canadian Coast Guard.[#endnote_Ccg] Built in 1986 by Canadian Shipbuilding, Collingwood, Ontario, Canada the ship currently is based out of Victoria, British Columbia.
The vessel has been employed on research voyages[#endnote_Army] and the rescue of survivors of the MV Queen of the North.
