CEWC-Cymru

CEWC-Cymru (Council for Education in World Citizenship-Wales) is an educational charity working with young people to promote active global citizenship in Wales. It also provides resources and training for Personal and Social Education and citizenship education. Among events organised by CEWC-Cymru are the Wales Schools Debating Championships, Model United Nations meetings, European Youth Parliaments and human rights workshops.
Established in the 1940s, CEWC-Cymru is based at the Temple of Peace, Cardiff, but works with schools, colleges and youth groups throughout Wales.
CEWC-Cymru receives its core funding from the Welsh Assembly Government, local education authorities, and over 100 school and college members. Julian Hodge Bank sponsors its annual debating competition.
