CFC-Youth for Christ is a youth organization under the Couples For Christ Family Ministries. It is open to people aged 12-21 of any Christian denomination although majority of the members are Catholics. It aims to help its members have a better personal relationship with God.YFC holds various activities like sector assemblies, general assemblies, and chapter meetings. The most wide-spread activity of YFC though, is most likely the International Leaders' Conference or the ILC, wherein all YFC members from a certain country meet. The 12th ILC held in Subic had more than 10,000 members (from the Philippines alone) who participated.
Although YFC professes to be ecumenical, it is considered a (Catholic) Charismatic group. It also adopts "Christian Music" (Songs with Christian lyrics), from the evangelicals and protestants.
From small beginnings, the YFC organization has now grown extensively and can be found in over a hundred countries.
In the United States, YFC, formally known as CFC Youth, is currently present in all 50 states after the accomplishment of the mission: 4G: Go For Gold. CFC Youth USA continues to evangelize and expand within the US. CFC Youth also holds conferences within the US in different states divided into 6 regions (Northeast, North Central, Northwest, Southwest, South Central, Southeast).
Community Service and Charity Works
YFC helps in CFC's charity project, Gawad Kalinga. YFC members promote the Filipino Bayanihan System, and also help in building Gawad Kalinga's own charismatic community for the youth, SIGA (Serving In God's Army).See also
