CH2M HILL is a US engineering, consulting, construction, and operations firm. The company was founded after World War II (in 1946) by an Oregon State University professor (Merryfield) and three students (Cornell, Hayes, and Howland). The firm - originally based in Corvallis, Oregon and named after the founders - later merged with a california-based engineering firm named Clair H. Hill and Associates and was renamed CH2M HILL.
CH2M HILL is involved in reconstruction efforts along the US Gulf Coast in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
CH2M HILL is the global leader in Enterprise Spatial Solutions. Systems which integrate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other information technology systems. CH2M HILL states that it is largest privetly head spatial consulting firm in the world.
