CLAAS

CLAAS is an agricultural machinery manufacturer based in Germany founded in 1913. In 1950 the company produced its 5000th combine harvester.
In 2004, CLAAS purchased the Renault Agricultural division from the France-based Renault company. CLAAS has a joint venture with Escorts Agri to produce harvestors in India under the Escorts CLAAS brand name. In fiscal 2005, sales of the CLAAS Group rose 12.8% to €2,175.3 million.
