Çorba (transliterated as chorba) is a Turkish soup or stew. The word entered into a number of national cuisines of various peoples under the rule of the Ottoman Empire, often in varying meanings.

• Чорба (chorba) a Bulgarian soup; see, e.g., Schkembe chorba
• Ciorbă, a Romanian beef-vegetable soup, similar to borscht.
• In Greek cuisine
• In Jewish cuisine as tschorba or tchorba
• In Serbian cuisine: "Čorba"

Similar words for soups exist in many cuisines of Turkic peoples of Central Asia, Russia and Caucasus, spelt variously, "shorva", "shurbo", "shurpa".
