} Cabanne's Trading Post, located 10 miles above Omaha, Nebraska on the west side of the Missouri River, was established between 1822 and 1826 for the American Fur Company by John Pierre Cabanne. Between 1833 and 1840 the trading post was moved to Bellevue, Nebraska, and placed under the management of Peter A. Sarpy.
