It is part of Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc. It used to be distributed under the Canada Dry brand name. The beverage is used in the alcoholic concoction [Cactus Jack].

Cactus Cooler is an orange-pineapple flavored beverage with negligible caffeine content. It is a regional brand that is difficult to find, unless one lives in the Greater Los Angeles Area and some other areas in the Western United States as well as some out-of-the-way rest stops, gas stations, and general stores. Cactus Cooler is found in Utah supermarkets in the soda aisle as well. It may now be found in many stores in the Reno, Nevada area distributed by the Coca-Cola dealer there. It may also be found at certain locations in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was formerly available in San Jose, California and the surrounding area.
