Cadboro Bay

Cadboro Bay is a seaside community located in the Municipality of Saanich just to the north of the Municipality of Oak Bay. Cadboro Bay is a cozy neighbourhood nestled between the University of Victoria uphill to the west and some of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Greater Victoria on the other sides: the posh Uplands district to the south, tony Ten Mile Point to the east and the secluded Queenswood neighbourhood to the north. The heart of Cadboro Bay is its charming English style village shopping area.

One of Cadboro Bay's claims to fame is a curving, public sandy beach (situated in Gyro Park) with a concrete octopus and a replica of a sea monster. On that note, Cadboro Bay is the home of the Cadborosaurous a.k.a. Caddy, a mythical sea monster that occasionally may be spotted in the calm waters of Cadboro Bay itself, the body of water which gives this neighbourhood its name.
