Encyclopedia : C : CA : CAN : Canta (magazine)
Canta is the official magazine of the University of Canterbury Student Association (USCA) of the University of Canterbury. It is freely available around campus every Wednesday during term time. It is usually 32 pages long and a bit smaller than A4 in page size.
In the past Canta has come to New Zealand wide attention. In 1996 two of its editors were fired after an article claiming to be humorous was titled "The Importance of Being Furnaced" and talked about a cast of 6 million referring to the Holocaust. The next week Canta contained a full page apology.
There are a variety of sections, some appearing every week while some are only every second issue:

- News
- Music
